Woo with Flowers — Oil on Canvas (1971)
Original artwork by Loreto T. Racuya
Master of Filipino Realism · b. 1940, Pangasinan
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The oldest piece in this entire collection, created in 1971 — three years before the artist's first solo exhibition at Hidalgo Gallery, Makati (1974). A work from the artist's pre-debut period carries exceptional art-historical significance. Pieces from master Racuya's 1985 period (Study for Hauling the Big Net, 15.5x20 inches) have appeared at Leon Gallery. The 1971 date of this work places it among his rarest available pieces.
Ideal for: Serious art investor, Philippine art historian, museum, auction house pre-acquisition
